Multidisciplinary photographer. Different territories and disciplines intersect on her path.

Of Lebanese descent, she was born in Colombia and decided to feed off the world in her studies. Argentina, Australia, Italy and Spain are the scene of her multidisciplinary exploration.

Costume design, artistic and documentary photography, video, dance, and mystical practices from both the East and the West develop a unique language in her work.

In this interconnection of disciplines and cultures, her gaze has been activated and art has become her tool to talk about the human possibility, using nature and the body as main subjects. Her latest projects seek to involve new media and technology, putting the latter at the service of raising awareness and questioning certain behaviours of the human towards nature and towards its own body.

She firmly believes that art has the power to link the human being with nature, as well as with its own self. This is why one of her pieces from the ROOTS OF SILENCE series is permanently exhibited at the prestigious Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, to raise awareness in its students to the environment that surrounds them: the Andes mountain.

In the middle of her exploration, she has traveled through Colombia documenting ( video and photo) part of the internal armed conflict in partnership with different NGOs such as WAR CHILD HOLLAND, PIES DESCALZOS (Shakira´s NGO) SOLIDARIDAD POR COLOMBIA among others.. She has also portrayed Cirque du Soleil artists and their body language as well as other dance and theater companies.

She is the co-founder and co-director of the audiovisual production collective LA VUELTA AL DIA, a creative laboratory that creatively and innovatively documents the stories that different clients bring them. With the collective, she edited the documentary of the film “Embrace of the serpent” among other works for the music, art and cultural industry in Colombia.

In collaboration with Ambulante Colombia Documentary Film Festival, she has provided photography and audiovisual workshops in territories affected by the inner armed conflict.

Her work has been shown in collective exhibitions in Madrid, Barcelona, New York, and Bogotá. Different media have referred to her work such as Womenphotograh, El País, and the Colombian embassy in Spain among others. She just did her first solo exhibition this past December 2020 in the Spanish capital.

Winner of the MIA NEW POST PHOTOGRAPHY AWARD (Milan Image Art Fair) 2021.

Maintaining a dialogue with the internal universe and making it converge with the external is part of her exploration as a human and an artist. She shares the path to the essential with meditation, breath work, conscious movement and yoga workshops. More info about this path on her page: innerecology.com
